There are 3 key functions in every light; an automatic dimming system, a daylight sensor and a presence detector. Essentially when daylight falls and there is no pedestrian traffic movement the light remains at 10% brightness. On movement the presence detector signals the dimming control gear to step up to full brightness for a preset defined period.
